Potato Chips

This dish is a childhood favourite of mine. Every mom has her own version of the potato fry. My mom has a simple yet great version of potato fry that is made with thinly sliced potatoes dusted with gram flour and then pan fried.

Sometimes, Dal Chawal seems to call for a side dish to go along with it. Potato chips, perfectly goes with Dal (Drumstick Dal is worth try) rice even to substitute for a sabji. In fact, this crispy delight can be enjoyed as a snack in place of the traditional Batata Bhajji /Aloo Pakora. It is also much lighter as it uses very less oil than Aloo Pakora. This can also be given in kids school lunch box as a side dish or just wrapped in a chapati (Indian bread).
